Roscoe Village is a thriving "village within a city" on Chicago's north side. The main commercial district is on Roscoe between Damen and Western, but there are also plenty of restaurants, nightlife and shopping on both Belmont and Damen. People love this neighborhood for its laid back feel, boutique shops, impressive array of restaurants, tree-lined streets, and access to public transportation. Many of the shops in the area cater to an upscale clientele.

In 2010, Roscoe Village will be hosting Retro on Roscoe for its 15th year! Even though this is the biggest festival/event for the neighborhood, the neighborhood also celebrates Burger Fest, Bamfest, Oyster Fest, Summer Sidewalk Sale, and more.



Boundaries

The commonly defined boundaries for Roscoe Village are Belmont (3200 North) to the south, Addision (3600 North) to the north, Ravenswood (1800 West) to the east, and the Chicago River to the west (approximately 2600 West). Roscoe Village is a neighborhood and not a defined community by the city of Chicago. Technically it exists within the North Center community of Chicago. As such, the boundaries are subject to interpretation!
